My background is in Mechanical Engineering (BEng) and Management of Technology (MSc). I'm passionate about driving sustainability and helping others adopt more environmentally responsible practices. I believe in the power of technology and innovation to create a circular economy. I'm always looking for opportunities to connect with others who share this vision.

Rémi Cesaro
Founder & Director - Zero Waste City

Founder and Director of the consulting business Zero Waste City, Rémi provides engineering consulting services to large commercial and industrial facilities on waste management, energy efficiency, and packaging design.

He has gained a strong experience as a consultant covering a wide range of industries and technologies in New Zealand, Australia, and Singapore.

He is a certified TRUE Advisor (Total Resource Use Efficiency) by the U.S. Green Building Council Inc. This certification recognised his knowledge in Zero Waste programs and his ability to support businesses to achieve the TRUE Zero Waste certification.

Yen Lyng Loh
Marketing & Sales Director - A1 Environment

Coming from a background of digital media, film-making, and digital marketing, Yen-Lyng fell into the sustainability field when she joined a waste management company as a Recycling Ambassador. During that time, she saw the many intricacies and challenges facing the very overlooked and underappreciated world of waste. So, when given the opportunity of working on a coffee recycling project, Yen-Lyng jumped at it. She will tell you more about her why and what of coffee recycling in her sharing and the challenges of lauching sustainable projects, working with A1 Environment.

A1 Environment started in 2012 as a general recycling and paper trading company. Sustainability IS the core of the company - it is what we do. A1’s founders combined have been in the waste management industry for over half a century and the business is based on sustainability and creating a circular economy.

I am the founder of Sustainao, a sustainability consulting firm based in Singapore. With 10 years of experience in the field, I help businesses develop impactful sustainability and decarbonisation strategies, embed sustainable practices into operations, and report their performance to stakeholders in a meaningful way.

Previously, I worked as a sustainability auditor at KPMG France, where I conducted audits across 15 countries within Europe, Africa, and Asia.

I hold an MBA in Corporate Sustainability, a Master’s in Environmental Management, and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and Biology.

Mun Wei Chan
Founder & Principal Consultant - SustainableSG

Mun Wei is the founder and principal consultant of SustainableSG, which provides advisory and training services in sustainability, strategy, risk and entrepreneurship.

He has worked with corporate, government and non-profit clients on strategy and implementation, reviewing organizational programmes and targets related to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, benchmarking and communicating sustainability and other corporate programmes and achievements, promoting inclusive hiring, developing compliance policies and reports, and formulating innovative business models.

He is also an Adjunct Lecturer at the Singapore University of Social Sciences.

I founded my consultancy firm 7 years ago to support private sector to develop their strategy, engage stakeholders and implement in the field their sustainability projects/programs. I have a extensive network in Indonesia, from the local community/NGOs to several ministries. I am also GRI copywriter.

Suman Majumdar
Sustainability Facilitator

I'm a freelance facilitator and I provide training, advisory and policy advocacy services to businesses on sustainability, climate change, ESG, circular economy, and related topics. With 33 years of experience, I held roles in India as a CSO in the JSW Group, Principal Counsellor on Sustainability with India's apex industry body CII, and Manager - Sustainability with Procter & Gamble.

Among other achievements, I pioneered Asia’s 1st Sustainability Awards, organised all events at COP-8, created the India Business & Biodiversity Initiative, set up the green building movement in India and co-created the world’s 1st ESG index for emerging economies (S&P).

I have a PhD and MTech in Environmental Engineering (IIT Bombay), and MSc in Environmental Sciences (JNU).

Quentin has over 15 years experience in Responsible Value Chain. He started as a Sustainable material experts to slowly cover the entire Value chain and life cycle of products. In Singapore, Quentin worked for Accenture in Sustainable Value Chain Strategy. On the side, Quentin created LoSiam - Le Laboratoire Olfactif du Siam - and chairs now its board.

Circular Economy Expert

Over the past ten years, I have gradually developed my expertise to put my convictions into action, focusing my energy in increasing circularity.

I have been passionately involved in collaborating with private companies and public authorities to advance circular economy initiatives and implement Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) Schemes. I played instrumental roles in developing and implementing strategic roadmaps to establish EPR schemes dedicated to industrial and commercial packaging in France.  ‍My motivation is to work among various stakeholders and to help shift an industry as a whole, and to re-invent economy with more re-use and more re-cycling.

I'm a scientist who is passionate about creating, proliferating, and assessing sustainable technologies. My team and I develop tools that enable companies and governments to make data-driven choices on sustainability initiatives. Our expertise includes maturity assessments, business model innovation, energy modelling, industrial symbiosis, and life cycle assessments. 

We also train companies to use these tools effectively. I’ve personally guided several companies to perform a holistic sustainability assessment of their organisation and create targeted action plans.

Regional Commercial Director - PUR Nature Based Solutions

I am a sustainability professional with a focus on carbon markets since 2004. I was fortunate to work in various roles in this field, giving me multiple perspectives: project development (Ecosecurities, Malaysia), origination (Perenia Carbon, Indonesia), investment structuring (Mitsui, Japan), validation and verification (TUV Rheinland, China & Singapore), and recently Nature-based Solutions (PUR, Singapore).

I am currently the Regional Commercial Director for Asia for PUR, an impact company that develops projects within our clients’ value chains to regenerate landscapes and protect vital ecosystems. By implementing nature-based solutions, we help companies to reduce their environmental footprint while increasing the resilience of their supply chain to climate change.
